The following represents a list of our most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that’s not answered here, feel free to contact us.

1) Do Artisan Meats products contain any additives?
No. Artisan Meats uses only real ingredients, with names you can pronounce. You won’t find any additives, fillers, or MSG in any of our products.
2) Are Artisan Meats products mass produced?
No. We believe in making everything handmade, in small batches. This process ensures that each of our customers receives a product of the highest quality. With that said, we do utilize some of the best available technology in our production process. We use a natural hardwood smoker with a microprocessor, which gives us complete control over the smoked flavors found in our meats. We also use a portion control system and a vacuum packer. Blending a traditional process with several key pieces of technology allows us to offer customers an old world taste with modern precision.
3) Are any of your products pre-cooked?
Yes, for your convenience all of our sausages are shipped to you pre-cooked. Simply brown and heat your Artisan Meats product through, and viola, it’s ready to be served!
4) How long do your products keep in the refrigerator or freezer?
For your convenience all of our products come with a use by date on their label. This date applies only if the product has not been opened. If products have been opened, they are good for approximately five days in the refrigerator. Unopened products can last as long as six months in the freezer. However, please keep in mind that we have several products that we don’t recommend freezing. Steer clear of freezing hams, cold cuts, or Canadian bacon. Freezing the aforementioned meats can seriously impair their quality and texture.
5) How long will it take to receive my order?
We employ several shipping services, which allows us to ship your order within days. You can generally expect your order to arrive within a week of ordering. However, we do have several products that are made to order. These products may take longer to ship. If this is ever the case, you will be contacted as soon as possible.
6) How do your ship your products?
The majority of our orders are shipped via UPS or USPS Priority Mail. Each shipment is packaged in an insulated, biodegradable container, with temperature controlling gel packs.
7) My order took longer than expected to arrive, is it still safe to eat?
All of our products are carefully packaged and can endure approximately 72 hours without refrigeration. If you receive your order after this point, and aren’t 100 percent confident it’s safe to consume, contact us immediately at 1-800-373-6476.
8) Holiday delivery & cut off dates
When it comes to Holidays orders, we always say the earlier the better. With that said, each holiday has different restrictions. Please check our home page or Facebook for any deadlines applying to upcoming holidays.
9) How do I make a return?
We want you to enjoy our products as much as we do, that’s why we guarantee satisfaction. If there is ever a problem with the quality of a product it will be replaced or refunded. Simply call us at 1-800-373-6476.
10) Can I cancel or modify my order once it’s been submitted?
Yes. Your order can be cancelled or modified until the time of shipping. Simply call us at 1-800-373-6476 if you’d like to adjust your order.
11) Are all of your products available online?

12) Do you offer wholesale pricing?

13) Do you have a retail store?
No. Artisan Meats does not have a retail store. Our North Clinton Ave. retail location closed in May of 2009. Our Canandaigua location serves as a corporate office and manufacturing plant and there is no retail store. If you are interested in picking product up directly at the Canandaigua facility please call the corporate office at (585) 266-4960 for more details.
14) Are your products gluten free?
Yes. All of our products, with the single exception of the Scottish Bangers, are gluten free. Our Scottish Bangers are made with bread crumbs and are therefore NOT gluten free.
